According to the Wall Street Journal, online sales were up this year from the period of Black Friday through Christmas, with some retailers reporting double-digital percentage gains over previous holiday seasons.
The Journal also reports that many retailers are making big pushes to ensure their websites are up to the task of handling increased traffic and consumer expectations. It seems that consumers are spending again, and online sales channels appear to be an important part of the economic recovery.
